In 2006 FP Construction Ltd was acquired by fit-out company space2work Ltd.
A formidable team has transpired through this strategic move.

FP was commissioned to complete new build office development ‘The Wave’ in Shipley which is still a prominent focal point today.

1999 saw the appointment of Alan Parkin. Alan first became involved with FP Construction when as a client he managed the Minerva House project. In a career that spans over 45 years within construction Alan has managed projects with a worth of more than £10 million
FP Construction also won the Mansell Premier Subcontractor Award in September of this year, for the recognition of outstanding service and achievement.

This is the year when FP Construction started to move heavily into construction works for the education sector working closely with Dewsbury College, Leeds Educational Department, Huddersfield University and Leeds University to name just a few. With strong relations FP still carry out work for the educational sector.

FP Construction was awarded a £250,000 contract, in today’s value, to construct all the ceilings in the well known Minerva House in Leeds city centre. The actual cost of the full Minerva House project was £3.5 million.

The offices blocks were then rented to Wakefield Council, whom are still there to this day, with FP Construction building a new office block on to the workshop at the back of the site. FP Construction built this in just 6 weeks, due to new tenants moving into existing offices.
FP Construction also became a member of the NHBC in 1990.

Acquired a site on Leeds Road, Wakefield and built a 2 storey office block comprising of offices, a joinery shop and warehousing.

Bought Outwood Chapel from the Salvation Army. FP Services shared the chapel with the Salvation Army, who occupied the basement floor. Part of the deal to buy the chapel was that FP Services was to refurbish the basement for the Salvation Army. One of the most cherished memories of this time was the Christmas periods when the Salvation Army would sing the Christmas carols for the workers.
This year also saw one of the biggest contracts that FP Construction has done to date, a £2,000,000 project in London to construct a 130 bedroom hotel.

In the beginning, FP started life above a printers shop as a design office carrying out freelance design work for contractors mostly for the leisure industry, pubs, bars, restaurants etc.
